Last of my Orders

The first pic is 2 size Large Dreamboat pocket diapers. This was the first time I made a diaper out of both of these prints. They are very cute!
I don't even know if I have enough of the dino fabric to make another diaper though cause I had messed up on the first one so I had to recut it out.

2 size small Dreamboat Covers. These are so tiny, awwww :)
I really like the color combo I did with the Neon Green PUL. Its a Royal Blue. Its so neat!

I am technically done with my orders with the exception of a handful of pocket diapers I need to work in with a layaway plan. I am going to finish those up after the holidays. Its way to hectic right now

XL Pocket Diapers

Here is 7 pocket diapers that I finished up. Got 10 more to go.
I think they turned out super cute. I didn't get a good pic of the airplane diaper (last pic). It has 2 airplanes on the butt. Only 1 on the butt was requested, but got 2 on there.
I can not wait to do the rest to see how they turn out.

2 AIOs Finished

Got 2 medium AIOs done today, turned out super cute :)

I am still working on the 17 pocket diapers. got all the outers and about 3/4 of the inners cut. Now I need to start sewing the pocket area and adding the touchtape to the outers. Slower process than what I expected, but I am coming along. It is a layaway in progress so there is not a HUGE HUGE rush yet :)

I am gearing up for a BIG Black Friday sale, keep your eye out for details. Its a sale you won't want to miss!

Orders and Epilepsy Donations so far!

Things have been going a bit slow around here. My 3 kids and my husband have been sick all week. Very tiring thats for sure!
I am all caught up on orders besides the 2 AIOs and 17 pocket diapers. Will be working some more on those this coming week.

There has been some great success so far for the donation towards the Epilepsy Foundation.
I am taking 10% of all sales from both sites (www.theserenedreamshop.com and www.hyenacart.com/theserenedreamshop) and donating it.
As of last night we are up to $24
This is VERY exciting. Thank You SO much :)

Craft Show and Working On!

The craft show was a success for both me and Melissa from www.michiganeggconnection.com .
We had alot of fun. It was finally nice to meet her after "meeting" online almost 4 years ago.
I do however have alot of inventory leftover. I guess I overdid it a bit. Its been a couple years since I did a show, so I couldn't remember how much of everything I needed. All well, more to share with you :)
I will be stocking my hyena cart on November 11th at 9am EST. I have uploaded alot tonight, but it will take me a good chunk of time to get all the Soy tarts listed.

Orders done:
#434
#435

Working on:
#436- 2 AIOs

November is Epilepsy Awareness Month!

10% of all sales through the month of November will be donated to the Epilepsy Foundation!
There is many ways to manage epilepsy, but there is currently no cure!

This foundation is near and dear to us because our daughter was diagnosed with Epilepsy when she was 16 months old.

Here is our daughter's story. (This is also posted on the front of my website)

When our daughter was 13 months old she got quite sick. High fever,no energy, lack of appetite, vomiting. On the 2nd day of battling this she had a eye doctor appt. While she was sitting in my lap I felt her get very stiff. I turned her around and she was turning purple. I quickly ran up to the counter where a not so nice lady was on the telephone. I said loudly that something was wrong with my daughter and she put her finger up as a way of telling me to hold on just a minute. You could clearly see that there was something wrong with my daughter. After getting louder and louder and also crying at this point other employees came running up front and took her from me and laid her on the desk. They surrounded her and would not let me see what was going on. At this time I had never witnessed a seizure. After a few minutes she stopped seizing. They let me carry her to a back room and explained to me what was going on. She was sleeping at this point. That is a normal thing for someone to do afterwards. Our pediatrician was right down the road so they were nice enough to squeeze us in so they could take a look at her. In the end they just told us that it was a febrile seizure cause she was sick and that she would probably never have another one. For peace of mind they sent us to the lab at the hospital to get her blood drawn to see if there was indeed an underlying issue. I no longer got her our to our vehicle from getting her blood drawn and she had another one. This time I was by myself and freaking out. I raced home and called the doctor and told me to take her to the hospital immediately. My husband was out of town on business so I had to track him down. Went to the ER and sat there while they ran tests. She was so miserable there. Shortly before they were just going to send us home, she has another one. They admitted her after that. After 3 days in the hospital, a ton of tests later they diagnosed her with Rotavirus and sent us home. Again we were told that she would more than likely never have seizures. 3 months went by, she was 16 months old now and she was still perfect, one morning we get up and start our routine and she just fell over and started seizing. We called 911 and they took her to the hospital where she got admitted again. After even more tests they could not give us any answers and diagnosed her with epilepsy. They gave us medication that she has to take everyday and sent us on our way. After that it was such a roller coaster. Every 6 weeks give or take she would have more seizures. When she would seize she would always have 3 in a day. Many more trips to the hospital, more tests they still had no answers so they put her on a 2nd medication. Her last seizure was on October 29th, 2006. So she has been seizure free for 1 year now. She has to go 2 years completely seizure free before she can be off her medication. We will start in April 2008 by weaning her off 1 medication, then in October 2008 as long as everything is ok, we will start weaning her off her other medication. She is now 3 1/2 months away from being 3 years old. It is so nice to see her grow and develop right on track considering everything she has been through in such a short time.

Craft Show

There is a craft fair coming up on Nov. 3rd that I will be participating in. I am actually teaming up with a online friend of mine that also has an online business http://www.michiganeggconnection.com/ This will be the first time we have met even though she lives only a couple hours away and we have "known" each other for a few years now. So I am super excited!H The only problem I am having is coming up with time to work on the extra products to bring with me since most of my business is custom orders. So far I have 93 wipes. Didnt realize that I had made that many. Maybe I will make 7 more to make it an even 100. I have a handful of lip balms. I ran out of some supplies but am expecting that today in the mail so I will be making more. I am going to make a large batch of both salt and sugar scrubs. But I wont make those until a couple days before the show! Plus I will be making a handful of Bath fizzies. With everything I have been working on and just daily life I havent had a chance to make any diapers, so I wont even attempt to rush around to get a few done. Not really worth it. Ohhh maybe I will bring some bath salts. That would be fun! Those are pretty quick to make up! Ohhhh I almost forgot to add in, I have been working super hard on advertising and a neat way of doing it is joining these "groups" where you send out a good amount of samples and they turn around and sell them in groups. nice way to get your name out there. I SO hope it pays off in the end. Its ALOT of work and its costly. There are MANY WAHMs that participate so its a neat way to see all that is out there. I know there is alot of ladies that I have never heard of
http://www.thelittleblackboxes.com/
www.hyenacart.com/thespottedbox

Finally was able to add a couple pics. This is just some of the wipes. So watch out, whatever doesnt sell at the fair I will be stocking on my Hyena Cart.

Little late on posting pics. Had a busy day yesterday.
Here is the last 2 orders I finished up.

Small Serenity Baby Cover- Groovy Flowers

After looking at Bennett's (my son) stash I realized that he is lacking some diapers. So my plan is I am going to make hopefully at least 3-5 pocket diapers for him, then I am going to start on a large order of 16 XL pocket diapers. I can't wait to work on that order. Some SUPER cute fabric! I will definitely be posting pics when I am in progress with that order.
